My "Why"
Tensions were extremely high in our country when I ran for the Tennessee State House of Representatives in 2020. I was unprepared for the extreme hostility and vicious public attacks I endured over my Christian conservative values.
I felt helpless as people I loved walked out of my life over political differences and it hurt. The most surprising and painful loss of them all was being "canceled" by my adult son.
Being on the front lines of the political division and the spiritual revelations that followed helped unlock my ultimate assignment.
God has the best "drip campaign" ever as He guided me toward healing breakthroughs, enhanced perspective, and wisdom.
I see now how my previous career experience makes me uniquely qualified to train women for this tough cultural battleground. If only this had "clicked" sooner, I could have avoided the political division with my son.
As a business crisis consultant specializing in women, I learned how to diffuse drama, bring peace to chaos, and win "buy-in" from hostile hearts.
As a professional songwriter, I learned how to craft heartfelt messaging that lingers with a listener.
I've spent a lot of time and energy repackaging those skill sets and further developing my signature approach to messaging for America's spiritual battle.
I now train Christian women HOW to effectively engage with people who hold opposing views and gracefully win them to our Christian conservative values with finesse, not a fight.
My Bio
Healing is the common theme in Diane’s entire body of work. She initially helped heal companies in crisis as a Consultant, with expertise in women-owned businesses. She developed a TV show, with a focus on songs that heal, that was syndicated in 100 million US Households and 3 countries. She ran for TN State House of Representatives in 2020 to help heal a broken system for Veterans after the loss of her brother to the mental scars of war in Afghanistan, finishing at 46% of the vote in a very split district.
Her political campaign cost her the relationship with her adult son, who publicly challenged her views, and ultimately "canceled" her. As God guided her to personal healing and revelations on how she could have handled things better, she developed the Lady Up America project to spare other moms painful division in their families and friend groups.
Diane is a national political TV Commentator, the Host of the Lady Up America Podcast, a Speaker, and an Author. Her storied journey has resulted in a fierce and unshakable faith.
Diane has been honored 2 years in a row with an extraordinary citizen award from the TN State Legislature and the She Leads Tennessee organization for her Lady Up America movement. Her podcast, Lady Up America with Diane Canada, has reached thousands of women and featured guests including Senator Marsha Blackburn, Riley Gaines, Lee Greenwood, Kevin Sorbo, Dr. Ming Wang (the movie SIGHT), Dr. Carol Swain, Dr. Ben Graham & Brad Stine. She’s been featured on Fox News, News Nation, Scripps News, The Washington Times, Townhall, & Salem Media Group. She is a Keynote Speaker and a frequent panelist for faith-based and Republican events.
Born in the summer of 2022, the Lady Up America movement has since reached numerous cities in battleground states and ignited thousands of women through training workshops for Republican women’s clubs across the southeast. For 2025, Diane plans to increase the Lady Up America digital footprint with her Podcast, deliver Keynote presentations, and lead monthly workshops with GOP Nashville!
Diane is a graduate of the Heritage Foundation's Political Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C., she holds a Certificate in the Constitution from Hillsdale College, she's the former Nashville Political Advocate for the National Association of Women Business Owners, and former PR Chair for the Federated Nashville Republican Women's Club where she is currently a member.
Diane has served on the Mayor's Minority and Business Advisory Council in Nashville, is a Founders Club member of the American Bible Project, and served on the Board of the Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group.
She authored her first book, Lady Up + Don't Quit: How To Look Any Leadership Challenge In The Eye and Give It A Little Wink in 2020. Her second book, Lady Up America: Training Christian Moms For The Toughest Spiritual Battleground of Our Lifetime was released in 2024.
